The Windfarm

I'm in awe of the newest local windfarm. I never thought that I could be in awe of such great manmade monstrosities, but somehow they work. There's something in their design, and sheer size, that allows them to be beautiful. And in a strange way they seem to complement the landscape, rather than detract from it.

Because cemetaries and abandoned chairs are fascinating

Because signs are so informative.

I'm in love, serious deep love, with my digicam. Today I took it with me while walking. The obvious result being more pictures. Random pictures. Pointless pictures. Ugly pictures. Just the kind of pictures I love.

I just had to take a picture of some signage today. I live quite close to the city boundary, and it's on my walk route. I decided it was vitally important to make photographic note of the distances to Ashhurst, Woodville, and Napier.

The above sign is right next to the Cemetary, of course. I have this weird habit of needing cemetary imagery. No, I'm not a Goth, I've just always liked cemetaries. They're pretty and peaceful.

The Mini House rocks. I love this place. They have the mini on the roof, and a RIP Mini shrine in the front yard. My next mission is to photograph the RIP Mini Shrine.

I've taken to walking down by the river. After the floods last year there are some precarious looking scenes. The almost lost, but hanging in there, picnic bench is a good exmaple. I love sitting on it.
Of course a river visit would be nothing without also including the standard river pictures we all feel so compelled to take.

Call this picture whoring. Just an entry for my blog. I'm posting all the attention whore pics here and linking them, for those who are bored enough to care what I look like.
